I've been noticing quite a few sculptors who've been using negative space in similar ways the past decade or so. Making their works a 360° experience. insightful for sure. I understand it may be a sacrilege to photograph it on a black background (shiny or matte black?), but would be a wonder to see if it's a worthy possibility.
In the same way that the observer, having observed, changes the thing that’s been observed, rotating this sculpture changes the way we view the sculpture. It’s as though you get to look upon a dozen different creations.
